My Desire is to Help You

Hello, I'm Scott, a software entrepreneur.

I have seen so many products developed in this space by people who have never asked YOU, the users, what you want. This doesn't seem logical to me. I am close to launching a software to help with the pain of Acord forms and hope to receive some input from this community.

I have no intention of self promotion or spammy marketing. In fact, I don't intend to mention any specific unless asked.

My true intentions are to get to know you better, how you work, what you think and how you feel about software. I believe that it's my duty to take the time to sincerely discover painful business problems and solve them with software. The solutions I would like to build, should be designed exactly how YOU want it to be. It should process how YOU need it to. And it should look and feel like YOU want.

In the least, I hope to get to know and understand you better,

Scotty

Ad?

I guess the idea of making tools for your industry that are designed by people in your industry doesn't make sense? Unless maybe you're in software too? Maybe this concept isn't what you're used to?

Maybe you just felt like trying to shut me down would help you get your day going on the right foot?

Either way, I appreciate you taking the time to reply,

Scotty

That was a very thinly veiled offer. You should try reading the Forum rules that you agreed to. Beam yourself out Scotty.

I did read it, there's no "very thinly veiled offer"

I'm only interested in learning about the community and how I might be of service.

I understand you're used to people coming in a trying to "Take" and promote. I'm not that guy. I'm sure you'll realize that soon enough.

When you open up with, "My Desire is to Help You"...that puts up a ref flag. I hope you're not 'that guy". Time will tell. :)

Around here we consider that an offer. Unless you work for free, it is an offer.

I completely understand skepticism, I'm just confused where the 'offer' is in any of my statements.

My desire to help you will help me understand how to better serve the community. In doing so, hopefully, I'm able to create something that YOU want. If I'm able to do that, I will then be helping myself. Now if you go back and read what I just said, you'll realize that I'm saying that I want to help you FIRST and if you feel I'm doing that, then I have the opportunity to win, but only by helping you.

Todd, anyone who works for free, isn't bringing value. But I'm not asking for anyone to give me 'work'. I'm just trying to be transparent about my intentions. While doing so, being intentionally cautious not to 'Make any Offers"

Please read my comments, if I've 'made any offers' I will remove them, it's not my intention to come in here and Take. In fact, I have a lot to give and that is my intention.

Though I do appreciate the interaction, I'm not going to do the back and forth all day, I feel that I've addressed this issue fully.

I think the guy deserves a break. What I am hearing is that he aspires to work with people in our industry and is here to learn about his market.
