My name is Dwayne and I live in Waynesboro, Va. I have been on the forum for a couple of weeks now trying to gain knowledge and a better understanding of the insurance industry.
I just passed my state exam ( on first attempt, thank God) and am waiting to be appointed with Colonial Life as a independent agent. I am also looking to add other products to my portfolio.
I have spent the last 20 years in auto sales and sales management and am ready to work for myself and gain a better balance of life and work. I have 20 more years before retirement and am looking forward to working for ME and building my retirement.
I am a Christian man of Mennonite faith and I have a great wife Patty, and 2 children, a boy age 15 ( 6'7" tall) and a girl age 11. We are very active in our church and enjoy working with the the children there and I also work as a liason with our sister congregation in Metapan, El Salvador.
I joined this forum to learn about the different products, contract terminology, and sales techniques. I have been to many sales schools including successful negotiations, overcoming objections, presentation, and have attended numerous F&I schools throughout the country.
