I have to get car insurance for my 6 year old Mustang. I have short listed these insurance providers - The Hartford, State Farm and All State. Need opinion on Which one is the best?

I'm not P&C licensed, but I used to manage a paint and body shop. From my experience, if you deal with the larger companies (State Farm, Allstae, Nationwide, Progressive), they employ staff adjusters and the claims go smoother. It's easier on the shop if they can call the adjuster and have them come out for supplements rather than email photos and have the carrier hire a local independent to come out and look at it. Takes steps out of the middle so things go faster. That said, the shops make more money if their dealing with a local independent because they are normally more agreeable. They don't work for the company so they aren't trying to cut as many corners/costs.

Might not get the best response from the "senior" section...might be better to post in the "auto insurance" section

The one with the best rate for the coverage you want.

Companies like these are using more and more independent adjusters as a way to cut cost in their claim organization.
