Need Carrier For 66 Year Old Female with Diabetes

I have a customer that has 2- $5000 whole life policies with Combined that needs to get a term or final expense policy for about 15-20K that will cover her funeral expense. She is trying to get SSI but has a small amount of cash value accrued in these 2 policies and that keeps her from qualifying for assistance. She is diabetic and uses a c-pap machine and is on a ton of meds. Please give me some direction.

That should be a standard rating with Monumental.

If she is trying to avoid Medicaid, a funeral trust might be in order (consult Newby), or you should get one of the children to be the owner and payor of the policy (that would avoid any questions by Medicaid in the future).

That's exactly what they are trying to do. Thanks for the insight. I may try to PM Newby also.

Tonight would be a good time to talk to him. I took him to dinner and bought him a big steak at one of Evansville's finer steakhouses. He got double desert, too. Claimed he was taking one home to his wife?

I bet she knows nothing of that.
