New Agent in Miami!

Hello everyone! I recently became an 220 licensed agent and opened up my insurance agency. No luck with appointments yet , but still pending. Its been tough here in miami dade. I'm now doing my 2-15 and hopefully that opens up the door for business. Just wanted to day helloooooo!

Welcome. How do you open an agency with no appointments?

A friend has his own agency and he appointed me through progressive under his agency, that's all I needed to have my license in active status and then being able to register my agency. Now progressive responded to my agency request stating there is a restriction in dade & broward for new agencies and once they lift the banned they will contact me. Still waiting on United & Star casualty hopefully Im lucky with them.

I have an agency in broward and might be able to help you in getting appointments. Email me at [email protected]. Appointments in dade are nearly impossible, but I can give you some ideas. Good luck.

I just emailed you back. Hopefully that gives you a few options. Dade county is extremely limited. For homeowners their are only four competitive homeowners companies writing in Dade. People's Trust, Federated, Heritage, and Sawgrass. Good luck.

A word of advice: Market to other areas outside or Miami-Dade. You might also have a hard time getting auto appointments.
