New Auto Appointments

Good Afternoon all, I opened my agency 2 years ago in Miami Florida and I still have no auto appointments. I was told to try a MGA/Cluster. Do anyone know of any?

So will travelers, and nationwide, and grange, and hartford. Meanwhile, other local agents will outsell the direct channel of all of them, even progressive.

Point is, progressive is an easy appointment. Start there.

In a lot of areas, even progressive has become a hard appointment. They are over market saturated.

I do agree with giving it a try, but I suspect in Miami, it may not be a slam dunk. If there is a good loss ratio and production history with houses, then they will probably do it without a problem. They have started looking at numbers though.

Must depend on the area. I've got 5 competing agents with progressive within a mile, and probably a couple dozen in the general area. But, I had experience with them before starting my agency.

I also suggest starting with Progressive, if you want to go the MGA route look into AccessGen, or Scottish American.

They are nonstandard and totally not for everyone, but same goes for progressive, access, etc...but you can always try uaic. They are in fl. One of the easiest appointments I ever got. Submitted on their website and they never even called, a week later I had a welcome email. The only time I've ever talked to the rep is if I called him. However, they are as nonstandard as it gets and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone I care about lol. Only for the "how cheap can I get it?" crowd.
