Hi everyone! I've been reading a lot of post on this forum and have learned more from here than my manager has taught me. It has been a tough road getting started but things are starting to come together. I want to thank everyone for their input in helping people.
I am a captive agent with life and annuity and just received permission to start my own agency while continuing with their products. Without permission I would have breached my contract with them. Because I like their products I do not want to leave them at this time but would like to branch out to auto and home and increase my health sales.
I already have a few P&C clients lined up for quotes and a mortgage loan officer that wants to refer me to his clients.
I would appreciate any advice or good companies to work with. I have not taken my P&C yet because I am working on my series 7 to meet obligations with my current company but am preparing everything necessary to get started. I am not going to put it off for very long, which is why I am preparing while studying for the series 7.
