Hello everyone!
I just wanted to drop a note to introduce myself. I'm David and I'm working as a Farmers platform producer for an established office in Portland, OR. Although I hope to expand my role later, my primary focus on Auto, Home, and Specialty.
I look forward to reading through the many threads here to glean as many tips as possible. I've spent a lot of time reading through these forums both before and after I started working with Farmers. I began as a marketer and decided I'd rather earn the commission on the leads I was generating. It's been a trying start at times but I'm hanging in there. I've already had highs and lows. From my first 4 car, home, and umbrella sale, to having better coverage and a better price but somehow not managing to close the sale to thinking, "What did I get myself into?" There's still no better feeling than getting a family's auto, home, and umbrella squared away all in one appointment. I'm sure there's more high points to come but that was my favorite so far!
I feel like I'm starting to get a handle on things and I'm hoping to build an excellent career. I'm not giving up. I will make this happen. I'm sure a lot of the advice I'll read here will help me do this. So in advance, thanks a bunch for the words of wisdom. Maybe one day I'll be the one offering some excellent advice.
