Short time lurker, first time poster-

Started looking and this forum to find determine best options to enter insurance industry. The forums have been very helpful, but challenged by needing to weed off topic comments etc..to find good content but good content and ideas are here. Thank you to those that add value to others. Have found some folks FMO to avoid from my reading.

I've Been in the sales arena for 20 + yrs mostly intangibles (mortgage, financial etc) previously held insurance licenses 10+ yrs ago. Presently employed in an industry that I don't physically want to be doing the in future. Would like to transition in the next 12-36 months.

I have the ability to invest in my transition to this as a business. I expect challenges and difficulties to occur. One poster quoted Covey "begin with the end in mind". Seeking an emphasis on renewal income and would like to transition part time to a degree, but struggle with a brutal work schedule presently. My wife is equally versed in sales and will be pursuing licensing with me, but want her main time emphasis on raising our daughter. Thinking she could help with appointment setting and pre qualifying to increase time spent writing aps.

Located in northern Indiana.

Thinking FE or MED SUPPS or combo eventually. I understand the value of mentorship to minimize learning curve. One gives larger upfront income the other more sticky for residuals.

Here to make connections/relationship of well intentioned veterans and newbies to grow personally and professionally together.

As for the screen name Google Peter B Kyne it's a classic.

Beginning pre licensing now - Open to encouragement and ideas for IMO FMO that would offer upfront release, and solid training / mentoring.

Blessings,

Lack of transparency for one. There are snakes out there that pounce on any unsuspecting new agent they see. Just a warning, nothing more, nothing less. I realize everyone here is old enough to make their own decisions.

That's a great choice for an Indiana based agent. One of the very best insurance sales trainers resides there and you simply can't go wrong if you utilize his tactics.

Thank you for the response, may I ask who you are speaking of (best trainers) and are they FE or med Supps etc?

Thanks PCB

Thanks Newby, FEX likes FE, do you do much with SUPPS?

Different demographic to a degree from what I understand.

Which county are available? (Silly question maybe but your agents get all they need from one or a couple counties?)

Appreciate your help.

If you to do Med Supps and/or Med Advantage you can give us a call as well. If you fit in Newby's market up there with them, then go with him for FE.
