Newly Licensed in Western Michigan

Hello, my name is Chandra, I'm newly licensed in Life and Health in the state of Michigan, looking for some sort of part time work using my license, any suggestions on where to start? I want to work as an independent agent, yet realize I need training so may have to work as a captive agent to get that..but am hearing bad things about many companies such as Bankers Life in that they make you were crazy long hours/every night...I can't do that as a busy mom to two school age kids...so I would really appreciate some direction. I'm located 15 minutes east of Grand Rapids...

Welcome! I live in Rockford, 15 minutes north of Grand Rapids. Yes it is possible to do it part time but there are a lot of veriables here.

How many hours per week
How much do you need to make
How much will it cost to make the money you need

These would be the main things to consider. All of our agents work from home if you have any interest in seeing how we do things.

It is difficult in my personal opinion to do this business part time but it would definitely be easier on the life and health side then the p&c side. Good luck
