Niche market insurers

Hello there. I'm in the process of contracting with Niche market insurers for life insurers. Anyone work with them? I would appreciate any info on their carriers, commissions, etc. Thanks!

I've got a couple of contracts with them. I don't write much through them, but they're really nice people, and knowledgeable especially on their "niches". I write AmAm, Gerber, and AIG GIWL through them. They've got most of the other major carriers. I'm basically at street level on commissions. If you feel you deserve a little better, talk to them about it before you sign contracts. I've never tried to negotiate my contracts since my production for them is so low, so I don't have any idea how negotiable they can be.

Ok thanks for your response! They seem to be struggling to confirm that I am under my boss's E and O for some reason. I am hoping to get it sorted out soon

Somebody more knowledgeable than me on the contract side might know better, but if its your bosses E&O, doesn't he have to be the one to contract with them?

I would assume if the contract is direct with you, that his E&O wouldn't cover you.

Again, I don't know this for sure, but it would make sense to me.
