No More Ma Advance Commissions

A big bird whispered and told me CMS will forbid advance commissions from the Carrier or FMO.

All business will be as earned.

Time will tell if this info is correct.

Are you the same guy that said that duet/melody would be released for some of the states when it can't be sold now in August and the rest by Sept 1?

I dont think I every said that, however that was the info that
WellCare was telling us.

I'm not busting your chops over it. I was just trying to see how accurate your rumors that you are given turn out to be.

Someone on here posted that the duet/melody would be available in mid August for some of the shutdown states and then the rest on Sept. 1. I apologize if it wasn't you.

I got a call from my SGA about Aug. 20 telling me that Indiana was going be available on Spt. 1 and then Ky on Oct. 1. It's now Sept. 10 and In is still not available and no word on Ky. That's why I asked. There is a lot of misinformation out there.

I have a feeling this one is going to be spot on. The only reason I posted it was, one to give anyone who thinks they are going to make any money (advanced)in the fall a heads up and to see if anyone else would comment on it.

We are all waiting for the CMS call letter to see what the deal is going to be for 2009. My info tells me we will all know in about a week what the future holds.

I have no doubt that the advances will be ruled out. We're definitely going to level commissions.

What I don't know is if CMS will require this change on existing business. If they don't, we will witness on hell of a feeding frenzy with producers churning business to get a better renewal in 2010.

Along with this change, all CMS has to do is drop lock-in and finally they will be protecting consumers. In fact, the ONLY thing they needed to do is drop lock-in. The rest would fall in place.

I so agree with you. They've never been locked into Med supps. Why would they lock you into a plan that you're not sure is right for you....granted you have the 12 month trial period for people just enrolling, but it's going on the 3rd year with these plans. If a person is not happy with a plan, don't make them be unhappy for a year.

Also, we could do away with the aep, oep, iep, icep, sep, etc. that no one at the home office seems to understand. KISS....remember that rule..... (keep it simple stupid) why in the world did they make this so complicated

I've noticed that people tend to lead their lives according to the way they think it should be done, completely disregarding the consequences to others.

This is the way it works. An idea comes up and then everyone puts in their two cents and eventually you have a burocracy (spell check doesn't work). It can't work smoothly because people have to have things their way. No matter what you give people, there will those who complain they should get more.
