Olympia is telling folks that she is not going to play second-fiddle or be on stand-by to present a Plan B on the Senate Bill. Reid has introduced a Senate bill with public option which she states she will oppose, and the bill either stands or falls based on whatever the dems can get for support.
What she is saying is that if you put the public option in the bill (which they did) she will not only oppose it but will not present an amendment to put it in with a trigger. She is retreating back behind republican/ centrist democrat lines and is saying that if someone else wants an amendment with a trigger they can introduce because she is not.
Maybe Obama can call her a few dozen more times and see if that helps. If Obama had been smart he would have called Reid a few dozen more times rather than Olympia because neither Reid nor the public option will be around a year from now but Olympia will. Public option with trigger.....quite possibly.
Do what you will Mr. Obama. You have played your cards your way and Olympia has played hers her way and she is now the most powerful Senator in Washington. She is also a woman you just scorned by letting cow-pie face Reid introduce his bill. Despite the nay-sayers here, I am still betting on Olympia. She is about to become Barry's worst nightmare.
Coming events: Look for Barry to re-define "a bill by the end of the year" to mean a bill out of the Senate versus a bill passed by both houses and signed into law.
Change you can believe in.
