Does anyone know if there are any kinds of p&c marketing opportunites similar to that which you find in health, life, etc.?

One where you can work independent from home, etc.?

What kind of marketing? That's pretty vague.

If your independent, you can work wherever you choose. Be your living room, bathroom, or an official office.

I didn't mean to be vague.

When I did hold my P&C when I was resident of Ohio, I thought that P&C couldn't be sold through a similar channel as life and health insurance. I worked in a full agency, and I liked P&C, but the agency took all the commission and I made like 2%.
So, I let that license become inactive, because I thought you had to be tied to a physical agency to sell and I didn't want to make a measely 2% and miss out on trailers.
My question, I guess, is about whether or not I could sell from home, etc., as an independent agent with a group of p&c companies? If so, how do I go about doing this? Would it be worth it to pay to get my license again?
I've read some stuff about Insurance Noodle, Superior Access, etc., but just don't know if I like the idea of paying them so I can sell from their list of companies and products.

Looking forward to any advice you might have.

You could find an agency that will you give you access to the companies for a commission split. You aren't going to find a direct way to the carriers without paying somthing or giving up some commission percentage.

Does this make sense to do? Would it be worth the trouble getting my license, etc.

Almost everyone that I talk to about insurance is open to auto, home, etc., if they are already happy with their life insurance stuff, etc.

P&C is great base... but if you are only getting leats say 15% on the deal that really isn't bad... but what you should do is have a couple of strong carriers for disabilty insurance, life insurance..etc... let me know if you want to talk about this

Superior Access is a good way to go in getting started.

Sure you have to pay them, but 1 deal a month would pay for the fee...........

I would be more concerned at looking into your EO coverage......this is normally the road block for most new agents getting into the PC arena.

I currently do have E&O, but it's for life and health. Not sure if E&O for P&C is expensive, but I'd be willing to pay it if I had the ability to make some extra money.

There's nothing I hate more than leaving business on the table.

As far as Superior goes, do they have any qualifications that you have to have? like a certain amount of experience in P&C field? ect.

I already have everything set up on life and disability side. I've got a great product portfolio to work with.....just wondering if it's time for me to reapply and get my P&C license.

Feel free to email me and I will call you or reply back with my number.

To sign up with Superior Access you just need your P&C license and E&O. I have been using them for a month it's not too bad.
