Policy to Cover Tenant Damage?

Had an insured ask me today if there is any policy out there that would cover damage to thier rental property by a tenant. I've never heard of anything like that, so I thought I'd ask here.
 
Depends on what type of damage you are talking about... If unintentional, then yes, any landlord policy should cover it.

For instance, the tenant leaves the iron on, burns the house down, covered. Tenant drives their car through the house, covered (if unintentional), etc.

On the other hand, routine stuff like the tenant destroyed the carpets in the 5 years they lived there..... not covered.
