Prospecting in Texas

I have been in the P&C/Life business for a little over a year now and am ready to try something new.

We always hear that targeting a niche is the way to make it, for example, car dealerships, mortgage contacts, realtors, etc. But they don't really tell you HOW to prospect to these folks.

Does anyone have any input as to how to penetrate this niche the "right way"?

Also, I am in the process of trying out something new to bump up my life sells…. targeting divorce lawyers.

I figure if a child or two is involved with a divorce, the lawyers might require one or both parents to carry life insurance. Therefore I come into play. Haven't put much thought into this put wanted to know what you guys and gals think.

acedillo,

I was going to respond to this but didn't have the time to type everything that I wanted to tell you.

Please call me at 505-899-7000 on Tuesday 12/30/08 (Monday is going to be a mad house and I won't have the time). Would love to give you the complete details.

Talk to ya then,

No secret. A good way to find your niche is to review your hobbies, interests, current clients, and friends. Join their organizations, serve on their boards, contribute to their causes. Learn all you can about their needs and how to fill them, then network your ass off.
