Question: Do Individual Agents Ever Order Their Own Underwriting/4-Point Surveys?

Do you as individual agents/producers ever directly commission 4-Point or underwriting surveys? If so, is it left up to the individual to find and hire or would you have to use a carrier-approved inspector/firm?
