Today I received AARPs Modernized plan rates. In Ohio "Plan N" will cost $91.70 for someone T65 and they go up from there.
I can sell someone a Plan F for $98 and a Plan G for $88 from different carriers.
AARP is the only rates I have seen but, if its any indication "Plan N" will be a flop.

AARP has traditionally been one of the highest priced plans out there. It is still a fallback for people that have numerous health conditions.

^not true at all.

You are just speaking of your area. In my area for a female who smokes or a male that smokes or doesn't smoke, AARP is hands down the best price

They are not that bad in my area either. $128 for a plan F for 65-68. I have carriers that can beat them but, if the person has a few conditions or is a smoker hands down the best is AARP

You would think that since enrollment starts this month that all the carriers would be up and running on these new Med supp plans. Other than AARP I haven't heard a beep from any others.

I've been told similar numbers that Frank has quoted (60%-75% of Plan F). I was also recently told that by a major senior market FMO that they will be getting an exclusive Med Supp soon. I couldn't pry the carrier name out of this guy, but he seemed to be excited about it along with the Plan N pricing.

Well AARPs "Plan F" is $128 a month for a 65 year old and a "Plan N" is $91 a month

128X70%= $89.60 so its about 70% of there Plan F.

If someone really wanted a cost sharing program like a Medicare Advantage plan, would not Plan K or Plan L be more of that type. AARP Plan K (June 2010) in Oklahoma at age 65 is $50.75. K pays half of the Part A ded none of the Part B ded and has an out of pocket max.

Just got the booklets w/rates for AARP in Alabama. Plan N is $84 a month for a 65 year-old non-smoker...it's $92.40 a month for a 65 year-old smoker in Alabama . Plan C for a 65 year-old has gone from $123.90 a month down to $115.32 a month...for a non-smoker.

They now have smoker and non-smoker rates in Alabama. They have added more health conditions to ask for those 3 or more years beyond their Medicare part B effective date.

They offer plans A...B....C....F....K...L.....N...plus select plans C and F, in Alabama.
