Why aren't PO Boxes acceptable? :no:I do not like giving out my home address. The company that will get my license in other states will not allow a po box as our mailing address. To get a private mailbox it's over $150 per year but this company wants our residential address so I don't think it would be acceptable even if I had the money becuase I have to fill in how long I lived there for.:1arghh:For FL I have my PO Box as my mailing address. I am scared if they have my home address in some states my address will be visible or accessible by someone else.

Unless you're hiding from someone you'll be fine. There are plenty of other agents they can mess with. If you are hiding, then you'd have to stay out of those states. There is no way around it.

Catowned, PA, and I assume many other states, require a physical address for licensing, but that does not preclude an agent from using a P.O. Box as a business address.

They figure if you are using a PO Box so people can't find you that's suspicious. I would be very hesitate to do business now days with someone who operated out of a PO Box.

The Carriers I write for require a physical address for me and for someone completing an application.

If you are using nipr.com or licenseregistry.com you can use a PO Box as a mailing address, but all states I know of require a physical address or home address for an individual, and don't have a problem with a PO Box for mailing
