Just wanted to see what most companies policy is on removing a violation from someones record mid-way through thier policy term? Have a ticket that is 3 years old now on this individuals auto policy, but the policy doesn't renew for another 8 months. Thoughts?

They don't put them on mid-term, they don't take them off mid-term.

Rewrite the policy, start a new term.

That is my initial thinking, just waiting on a response from the company now. I do know some companies that are willing to do this though.

Progressive allows you to remove incidents mid-term I've had them do it a few times for my clients. My other companies don't though.

Generally, the company cant change a policy mid term for something like that, state DOI rules, they have to wait til renewal, or you just rewrite it

I know some of them take the three year mark in to account when renewing the term in which the ticket will become three years old. So instead of being the full surcharge you get essentially a prorated surcharge for that term.
