Rental Car

My wife just had to rent a car. To go see her new grand baby.
we rented one from enterprise. they told us my car insurance, which i was driving. was now transferred to the rental. So did i drive home with out insurance?That,s what she implied to us. made my wife nervous. And if true..then why arn't police waiting in Enterprise parking lots,writing tickets on drivers with out insurance? Thats all I got....... Thanks. On one of the papers enterprise makes you sign it, this says your personal insurance now covers the rental car. Hope that helps!
