Retroactive Part B

or I may just decide it's not worth the extra two months of premium payments.

Any thoughts/opinions/advice? Thank you!
What is your time and mental health worth? If you can afford wasting the $350 for the Nov-Dec premiums, I would say just let it go. If you can't then you obviously need to jump through those hoops and hope for a nice outcome.

I found that Medicare goes by the the start date of the application and not the submitted date. You started the application in August so with no comments in remarks eligibility is 11/1.
I had. Client who forgot to put in the remarks for 1/1 and her dates were set at 10/1. They spoke with Medicare as you did and were advised the same thing about stopping and redoing however, there was no guarantee on how long that would take. They decided to go ahead and pay the part B for three months and deal with it.

Personally, I would leave it alone, pay the part B for two months and then pull your claims for November. It is not that hard to send the additional Medicare information and let them sort it out.

As an FYI, I also tested the remark section where someone wanted their PartnA to be effective on the first of their birth month and their Part B to be effective at a different time due to retirement (a few months later). That does not work and we had to resubmit for Part B. The client knew it was a test to see if it would work and were more than willing to be the guinea pig.
