Ring Central

I was not sure where to post this but it seemed to be the closest fit on the Forum.

I believe many of you use Ring Central as I have seen that in some posts here on the forum.

My problem is that I recently switched local phone companies-Qwest to Mediacom specifically and am having trouble getting Mediacom to transfer the call after 4 rings or no answer like Qwest did.

In my settings;

My numbers forwareded to Ring Central;

I requested that my number be forwarded to Ring Central after 4 rings or no answer but after a whole month, Mediacom has not done this.

I tried using *72 for a while but it immediately transfers the number, and if you are home, you have no option to answer the call.

Ring Central says that they are connected to Qwest in a way that they are not with Mediacom and the only way is to contact Mediacom directly.

The problem is; when talking to Mediacom they have no idea what I am talking about and only suggest *72..

Anyone else had a problem like this?

Thanks

Ask mediacom if they offer delayed call forwarding. If they don't know what that is, port your number to ring central and be done with it.

See if you can talk to somewhere higher up in the company at Mediacom to see if someone in managment can solve the problem. If Mediacom won't resolve the problem for you, you may have to go back to Qwest.

porting to ring central then forwarding the calls from ring central to any number you want is typically an easy operation.
