And of course even if the commissons are there, you have to listen to what this fellow is saying. If no one needs to buy insurance because they can just buy it when they get sick, how does that change the volume of sales even if the commissions are there? Some folks here will argue one day that mandate will cause a gold rush in volume. Next day they will argue that the penalties are so low that no one needs to buy anything until they get sick. Might have to do some more thinking there.

Since I just did a full rant within the last couple days, I will leave it alone but the fellow is right. The bills as they stand now will destroy the system and it will end out being blamed on the free market (refer to recent rant about how this is what happened in Maine) and they will end out calling for more government rather than more free market ie. onward and upward to the single payer system. As discussed ad nauseum, the Canadian system is at least functioning, not as well as our current system but better than our system will after it collapses from this foolishness. Guess what people are going to want to do after that?

Classic Pivens-Cleavage theory or whatever it is called. Classic with a capital K.

Commies are going to destroy this country if you dont stop them. Note to libs: I am full support of reform and have outlined in detail many times over what I would do. I do not belong to the "hunker down and just say no until it goes away crowd." But Jesus you have to have a brain here somewhere in whatever plan is proposed.
The whole goal here to IMPROVE THE SYSTEM, DUH! Just because I did not believe in the Soviet collectives and farming practices didnt mean that I was opposed to improvments in agriculture. It just meant that when the number of people starving to death exceeded the number under the Tsar it makes you wonder what the original frigging goal was. As an aside, I felt that I knew more about agriculture than the commies did and still do. Most people do. Similarly, we have reached the point where the average person on the street has a better understanding of macro and micro economics than the commies in DC.

Having said that, any week when the demise of Dodd is announced is a good week. Perhaps we can tack a few more on top. It saves us from having to hang him although I am still up for it. Saving that rope now for Barabara Boxer. New Englanders died to keep King George's men from speaking to the citizenry the way she does. Vote her out, string her up, use whips and chains on her or whatever the California way is but get rid of her.

Try Mr. Bills link.
Forget cap commissions ...
There won't be commissions at all because there ultimately will be no insurance to sell if they get their bill through.
Pick your % of nothing.
I don't think congress is stupid in this regard. I do believe this has been their intention from day one. Schiff states that "maybe he doesn't give them enough credit, maybe putting insurance companies out of business was the idea all along ... (paraphrasing)"
Uh yeah. Me think so.
Wrong, socialist, elitist, yes. Stupid, no.

He will win Connecticut if we are lucky. Him and Rand Paul will be the most ideal Senators. His predictions are great, and his facebook updates are great...

I like what I have seen from him also.

Schiff is a great at diagnosing the economy sometimes his solution to the problem is off though i.e. he invested heavily right before China tanked. However, I think if you have a 10 year horizon he'll look brilliant in both areas...

So why don't we hear more from the health insurance companies? Shouldn't they be screaming that this will put them out of business? What deal has been struck? TPAs for a Government plan?
