how do most agents find ways to increase there sales a few years into this gig? is it as simple as finding more sources, working smarter, harder, etc.

Does anyone have any success stories on how their production increased after a few years?

Thanks !!!!

There is no magic bullet on how to do this. To even begin to answer your question would take a discussion on where you are in your business, what your goals are, what resources you have available, etc.

So, I'll generalize a bit, or actually a lot....

- Set goals for yourself. Yes, you can have goals such as grow 40 policies a month, but you need better goals with what it will take to accomplish this. I need 160 quotes a month, or 8 per working day. I need to have 5 appointments a day, 1 household sale a day, type of goals.
- Have a process in place. Its funny how many agents don't do this. Basically, think through how you take someone from a name and phone number to being a client and then what happens after being a client. Write the process down, then follow it.
- Hire help. Its actually amazing how much having someone else in your office is an inspiration to stay focused on the job. It also gets the service work off your plate.
- Pick 5 marketing methods and go to town. 2 can be passive, 3 should be active.
- Stay focused on the job. We all get distracted with play solitaire, reading forum posts, updating facebook, playing with grandkids, whatever. Stay focused while at work with work. Distractions are for later in the day.

My opinion...when you start focusing on what services/extras you can provide your clients that none of you competitors provide... you'll see business grow much quicker. Especially when you do it with no expectations of anything in return.
