Selling Med Supps Im San Diego??? Can It Work?

An IMO that I know says that selling med supps is very very difficult in CA as it is in FL as most have HMO plans. Is this true? I'm in San Diego and want to cross sell FE after I save some money on med supps. But if noone uses medsupps in San Diego than there is nothing to cross sell. Please help. I can sure use it. thanks

40% of eligibles have an MA plan in San Diego County. Both Riverside and San Bernardino are at 48%. Orange is 42% and LA is 37%.

Almost half of your "audience" is enrolled in a free plan. Makes it twice as hard to find people who want to talk with you.

Until our legislature decided that gender based rating for supps was discriminatory, I did quite well selling plans to women and saving them a bunch of money. Now there is no such advantage.

But a few companies do have much better rates than the "Blues" and you definitely can still help people. You just have work (literally) twice as hard to find them.

would it be better for him to sell final expense and cross sell med supps? or just med advantage, as they have restrictions on cross selling.

So if FL and CA are considered to be tougher markets, my question is what states would be considered better markets for that type of business?
