Anyway, I also take this time to pull out the older dead client files, Also paper. Then this year we are finally organizing and scanning my active files. one and a half file cabinets done, two and a half to go.
I know all you young guns have everything digitized and I am getting there. But there are still a few of us dinos out there.
So here is what I do with all of my shredding. I use ARK. It is a program that teaches intellectual and developmentally challenged adults to work and to live a more independent life. So it is a win-win for me. I accumulate a few boxes then take a ride out. They unload into a secure lock bin, charge me $5. a box, I get a write-off and go to lunch.
