I just did the renew application for my client from last year. Her estimated income is $7000 for year 2015 and got qualifies for subsidy. If she choose HMO silver plan for BCBS with $500 deductible she doesn't have to pay anything. Is there a glitch going on??
I also have another case where i tried to fill out the application for 2 elder people who is over 65 years old.. they are immigrant and just resided here 2 years ago so they are not eligible for medicare/medicaid. When fill out the app on healthcare.gov both claim $0 and they are eligible for subsidy of $1200/month. At first I thought it was system glitch error but then we redo and submit again still the same result.. anyone else experience this??

My question, is why you even took the time to fill out apps that you know are supposed to come up with $0 APTC ?

Because TX is not expanding medicaid for those people fall under the poverty level income. They have no sources of whatsover to get a health coverage beside getting help from local hospital discount. And since obamacare started, this local hospital ask all of applicant to apply through healthcare.gov first before they issue them a network discount card. So they come to me for help. As long as they get the eligibility result stating they qualify for medicaid and exempt from penalty, then they can get their local discount card program. I was just trying to help them fill out to get the medicaid or exemption result, but to my surprise they do qualify for the subsidies. At first i thought it was just an error but when i remove and redo the app.. still the same result

again... why the hell are YOU wasting your time writing them....???? is this your full time gig?

If they are not eligible for medicare/medicaid due to the five year bar rule, then they should qualify for the subsidy. Why are your guys so harsh?

What is the Texas 5 Year Bar rule? Please explain. It's never been brought up in the forum before.

Well... Let's see... Comp was cut 75% we have to eat... Last I checked charity work was not on the agenda...

There are two types of agents... Those that win, and those that do Medicaid eligabilty runs for clients... Which are you? Can't be both

they are 67 and 69 came to me begging for help as they have no way to get their health coverage. They don't speak English either. Sometimes is not all about money. I know that I will not get any commission from them but at least I can help them find a solution for their health care needs
