Software Developer Building ACORD Apps

Hello from sunny Phoenix Arizona!

I'm here because I'm developing applications and services using the ACORD standard. I am an in-house developer with a E&S company.

I'm interested in learning about your experience with products and services that utilize the ACORD standard.

If there are other insurance developers here, I'd like to exchange tips and tricks for developing with the ACORD model. -- I have no formal training from the ACORD organization but I have implemented several applications and services for my employer (who shall remain nameless).

Hello,

I am going to be a P&C insurance developer. We are going to develop a product for our customer and we need to use ACORD in this. This is the only information that I got. I got look in google to know 'What is ACORD'.... :-).
All that I came to know is, ACORD provides standardize forms and electronic data exchange for their customers (XML format of data by applying some standards based on the type of insurance).

Could you please give me some idea about what exactly a developers role in using ACORD, what I should learn and am I going to write any code/XML/Script.. ?
