I wanted to give you some thoughts on lead quality and perceptions.
We all know that continuing to improve lead quality is top priority for most lead companies.
Where are my perfect leads?
However, Internet leads are far from perfect.
It is impossible to eliminate some level of bogus, disconnects and not interested leads.
In many competitive verticals the Internet is so saturated that consumers are literally being hounded to death, leading to the perception that there is no such thing as an exclusive lead.
Pass the buck
Skilled and smart agents work around the quirks of imperfect leads and over saturation.
As you know, two different agents can easily get completely different results from the same leads.
On the other hand, agents would much rather claim bad leads than the inability to sell.
What does this mean?
Agents will spend a ton of money to self-generate leads rather than buy them from a lead company.
Why?
Economics 101
Limited resources with which to fulfill your wants and needs,
so you must make certain choices with your money.
Most good lead companies diligently weed out bad leads, stand behind their leads and offer great guarantees and customer service.
Yes, you will get bad leads - part of the system.
Don't set yourself up for failure.
There are no best leads available unless it is priced way past a monetary comfort level.
So sell responsibly - don't drink and sell.
