Special One Time Bonus for Exchange Apps

I was told privately that there is going to be a special (1) time "thank you" bonus of $100 per application for all of the agents that submitted more than 50 apps to the exchanges during open enrollment. It will be paid by the end of this month.

Sorry, now my source is telling me it's a date with Kathleen Sebelius
if you're a guy and Harry Reid if you're a girl for Most apps in Exchange. Everyone else with over fifty apps gets a letter of appreciation from your State's Democratic Party chairman.

Under 50 apps and you get a special (1) time audit by your State's Revenue Dept.

Most apps submitted is the key, no one cares how many are real or paid.

If you win the date with Sebelius, the bill is subsidized based on your production compared to the pre-defined "Federal Production Level".

But, of course, it's "estimated 2014 production" with your 2013 production used as a reference. If you claim a production level more than 10% different than the previous year, supporting documentation will need to be produced.

If you end up producing more than was estimated, you must pay back the portion of the bill you didn't pay for, subject to a clawback by production level.

Where's my free lunch?

April 1, 2014

The open enrollment period for 2014 coverage ended yesterday, March 31, and we would like to thank you for your participation in the Federally-facilitated Marketplaces (FFM). With your support, we were able to exceed our national enrollment targets for this historic enrollment period.

We want to remind you of important information regarding consumers who had started, but had not completed, their FFM enrollment as of 11:59 PM ET on March 31, 2014. Please see the attached documents for additional information about consumers who may be "in line" for enrollment as of March 31 and consumers with "complex cases." These are the same documents that we circulated last week.

Lastly, please continue to check our webpage for agents/brokers in the FFMs in the coming weeks for more information regarding FFM training and registration for agents/brokers for the 2015 benefit year. (Resources for Agents and Brokers in the Health Insurance Marketplace - Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services)

Thank you again for your participation in the FFMs and we look forward to continuing to work with you.
