Its been awile but I'm back because I'm looking for some professional advice. I am a agent for one of the big mutuals and have my series 6 and do alot of work with the American Funds, Fidelity, RS Investments and Variable Annuiites. Life insurance is my main line of business particularily 2-10k of premium cases. I write a bunch of term when it is needed as well. My approach is pretty simple, I send out a letter and follow it up with a phone call to secure an appt. The problem is that I am trying to only market to families with household income over 150k and need a great pre-approach letter. The biggest objection I get when I call on these people is that they are allready happy and/or work with somebody else. Can somebody offer some great preapproach letter examples to ease that objection when I call on them for the first time? Thanks a million in advance.

What makes you think any prez-approach letter is going to change anything? From your description you have not uncovered any pain/need. Also if you are waiting till people reach the 150K level they have already developed a relationship with someone else.

The pain /need is established during a fact-finding interview. So your saying you don't call on people that have done any financial work because somebody else has already? Why did wal-mart even open a store with all the shopkos and k' marts around? NO ADVISER HAS A MONOPOLY ON GOOD IDEAS. If you didn't have anything constructive to add to this topic then don't waste my time by posting.
