Anybody know where to go w/ these? I get referrals from out of state buyers purchasing vacation homes. I can't insure their primary home/auto because they're in another state. Of course there's Foremost..Amod...but is there a better solution out there?

We have a lot of cases like these here in Tennessee - mountain cabins and lake homes. I use Berkshire Hathaway Homestate - however if it is occupied less than 50% of the year they classify it as vacant but their vacant rates are even good as long as the value doesn't exceed $1M - in that case they can get out of line.

ASI all the way.

If you know what company carries their primary home and auto you can sometimes tack on that out of state policy. Allied will honor Nationwide primary home/auto in different states; Safeco will sometimes honor Liberty Mutual.

I'm still new with ASI but Foremost is good. We use a small mutual company for these if they're in good shape & we really want to or need to. Fires & frozen water claims render them undesireable

ASI is great use them on every one of my homes built in last 10 years. Lexington might also be a good option.

Does ASI give beef over production? I already have solid representation & of course it makes sense to keep writing w/ the companies that I have. I already have great monoline property markets, so if I pickup ASI it would just be for vacation homes (which I don't write much of.)

Would they talk trash on production?

I think they require 6 a month. What mono line home companies do you have? I am needing to pick up some.
