In general petitions like this do not have a huge impact on Congress. The media loves to report them but the members mostly only pay attention to the views of those who can vote for or against them.

If an agent wants their voice heard there are only three members of Congress who will listen. The Congressman from their district and the two state Senators.

Write them a personal letter and be sure to sign your name, give your full address, phone number and e-mail address. Identify yourself as a constituent.
