Here's an prospecting tip that might help you make the most of your business reply card marketing.

I 've been getting a list of seniors in the area where I'm doing a mail drop. After I get my business reply cards back I map out all the seniors near my lead ( usually 5 or 6 seniors near by ). I knock on the door and introduce myslf and give the a price list for Med Supps and final expense and get them engage in a conversation.

I've already picked up a few more sales off these leads at zero marketing cost.

This works great in rural areas where you have a distance to drive to get to your appointment.

You can also buy the list that you mailed, bring some extra blank mailers and stop by to see if they received it, and open a conversation

Great information, this forum is going to be a huge asset to me as I begin my career. How much would you say the average mail drop cost per item?

I just get a county or city map and locate the streets or roads nearby my lead then I choose 5-6 names & addresses ( per lead )from my list that are the closest. Mapquest can also be helpful to determine the distance between leads.

Taking the extra time mapping it out and knowing the distance between leads saves time and gas when your in the feild.

I prefer small towns and rural areas, people are more receptive and there is no traffic to deal with.

I shoot for 50-60 names and addresses per every 10 lead cards.
