Im having a bad experience with them right now. I'm new in the business (6 months) and I have connections with real estate agents. All of my business has been homeowners insurance. The problem is when they need insurance, they need it now but it takes Superior Access 7 days.. or more.. I cant tell you how many times I lost policies do to them binding so slow.

What should I do?

You have to get appointed somewhere that you have binding authority if you are going the real estate agent route.

I'd also suggest you talk to Superior, they probably have a way to help you with this. You should be able to have a house bound inside of a day when you need it to happen.

Also, is it really taking Superior 7 days to bind? Or is it 7 days to get you a copy of the binder? If it's the latter, then don't be afraid to type up your own binder once you know the policy has been bound by the carrier.

It really takes 5-7 days before they even get around to proccessing it. I call them all the time to get it done, they reply with "I have a few more before I can get to yours"

I know what you go thru. I was in the same spot as you are a year ago.Depending on what risks you write, I may be helpfull.I have access and binding authority to Travelers, Allied. Email me [email protected]

Who have you tried to get directly appointed by?

There are a ton of MGA's in California that will not only appoint you at no cost they can sometimes provide rates in a few hours at most.

I've been looking into superior access as well as silver plume. I'm just a little worried about the binding authority issues your looking into since I'm going to be working heavily from soft leads from mortgage brokers/real estate people and from all I know about the industry those people want things done same day. Superior Access said they can only do next day at best binding. Anyone know of anyone else in California who works similarly to Superior Access and will give Binding Authority to someone just starting out? (I have a full year of running an agency for an absentee owner also)

For you I recommend to find an indy agency to write with. I have worked with MGA, ins. noodle. agent secure, etc. They are all slow to bind.If you are in Nevada and Ca. I may be able to assist.

First I need to get up to 20 Messages on the board so I can PM people hah! Such an annoying goal.

And I also don't want to just spam messages in the forum either and annoy people.
