I can't tell you how many times I have read the words "the contract states" only to read the contract and find out it didn't "state" that at all.

good advice on attorney, but State Farm agencies are not franchises in the sense like owning a Taco bell or Panera Bread. Most insurance agencies are not considered a franchise, especially those that dont allow you to sell your book of business
