I'm not licensed yet but I plan on starting out selling only life plans. After I get really good with life, I plan on adding homeowners and auto. I'm not really interested in health at all. Texas offers a life only license, and I am wondering if there would be any downsides to not getting l&h if I don't plan on selling health.

You'll likely regret not getting health as well.

You need that license to sell disability, long term care, accident coverage, medigap products, critical illness, etc.

You'll miss out on a lot of cross selling opportunities without it.

Half of the stuff they will teach you on the life side also applies to the health side, so there's really no reason not get the health side too.

Get your Health at same time or you regret not doing it.

Medicare is HUGE.

certainly not much more time or money to get it,

Better to have and not need then to need and not have
