It is part of the constant drumbeat now to make sure that every time that the public reads something about an insurance carrier that it is negative and that they are being a cancer on society. Specific events may amount to nothing. In the long run it is quite effective.

I can't see how the AG's office thinks it has any authority over a health insurance carrier over how they conduct their business.

If a carrier chooses to raise their rates 250% and sent their executives on a 6 month vacation to France that's between the carrier and their shareholders.

I can't see how the AG's office thinks it has any authority over a health insurance carrier over how they conduct their business.

If a carrier chooses to raise their rates 250% and sent their executives on a 6 month vacation to France that's between the carrier and their shareholders.

Perhaps in California where all they need to do is give notice of a rate increase versus those of us who live in states where rate increases must be approved first- which will be all of them before long.
