Gimmie a sign here. There's gotta be some hope. After analyzing my sales procedures, I've concluded I'm not following up as much as I should be. I was giving up too easily.
I think it was Richard on this forum that said to call the prospect at least five times before one brings that down to once a month if an agent hadn't received any response.
How is it out there with NEW INDIVIDUAL business? W/L? Term? What are people buying?
Medicare Supplements? Boooooorrrrring. There can't be money in that. Long Term Care? What do the demographics look like for your individual products? What's their income level? Get a lot of shoppers? What's the percentage of buyers vs. shoppers? How quick do you close an individual product nowadays? One a week? Two? How many phone calls on average do you make before you close? Five? Ten? Forty?
I'm focusing on 45 to 70 year olds in general good health for my Long Term Care products. This narrows the field a bit, but the leads are more expensive. I know, I know, I have to branch off and do W/L too and Term or Disability. In time gentlemen I've already got those GA's on standby.
I'm determining if it's even worth turning my leads back on or hit the ground running and begin cold calling. Yikes
"Hello sir, Bud Fox, Jacks & Stienam. No sir, it's not what you think". "I already have insurance!"….Click. Oh, this is going to be so much fun!
Gilmore?! Chuck? Ray? David Lee Roth? Anyone?
