A Patent Attorney who I know wants to get his parents some Final Expense coverage. They have some assets, but are far from wealthy.

They do not live in this state, but he does. I am only licensed for the state of Georgia. I assume I will need to get licensed for Indiana, even though all the paperwork will be done here in Georgia.

This is why I like this forum. Great question, looking forward to the answer. If the patent attorney was the owner, maybe? I've never been in this situation but would like to know the answer, too.

Will the folks be signing the apps while visiting in GA, or while at home in Indiana? Most carriers will allow FE apps based on where the app is signed, so if it is while they are visiting GA, you should be OK.

If remote, be careful to check with the carrier your thinking of using, some require face to face for application. If you will be doing it remotely, you will need a non-res license in their state.

If you use RNA you would simply have to get an Indiana license. Do everything in Ga that needs to be done. IKnterview the fols in In by phone and then send the applications to them by mail for their signature.

Or you could split with an Indiana agent but with RNA you would still have to licensed in In to split it. Might as well just do it all yourself.

Might cost you $100 to get the In license but there is no appointment fees in In for the company.

Ok.

Met with the guy. His mom and dad live here, so no need for an out of state license. I don't know where I got Indiana from.

If the moderators want to delete this thread, I won't be upset.
