Im looking into buying an allstate agency and would like to know what I should look into that I may not already be. I am looking info commissions, price, expenses, how many employees, location, how long in business and retention. Most retentions seem to be in the high 80's or low 90's, is this normal? Are old books better, since some of the clients may be old also? Also looking for books that didn't sell investments, since that is my background. Anything I am missing? Am I on the right track?
