UHC - Thank You for Your Patience

I'm writing this while sitting on hold waiting for a human to answer at the PHD. Trying to track down a MedSupp application and I keep hearing UHC thank me for my patience just to ask them WTF you have already issued this persons Domestic partner but don't even show the other app...you can't say you didn't recieve it because they were in the same envelope and the policy you issued had the insured as the partner on a new AARP membership.....25 minutes and counting....

But good news I've heard UofO is in Maine now with rates close enough to AARP to be able to tell them to stick it :)

The most frustrating part of my job is having to deal with the producer "help" desk. Good luck...

56 Minutes and 44 seconds into the call I got a human...I must say that she was professional and seems to have quickly solved the issue...The thing is they took my clients AARP enrollment and seperated it from her application and applied it to her Partners application and left hers sitting there pending....Now they had an agent number along with my contact info and yet they did not contact me about this issue add to the fact that the policy as pending never made it into the system for me to see...All the more reason to be wishing United of Omaha moves its butt I can deal with rates a little higher than AARP easily as I explain that we can only submit an application via paper mailed to them and if something pends they are terrible to work with while say what you want against MoO and its sisters they do make it easier to do business with.

I waited for 40 minutes yesterday and finally hung up, called my FMO and told them to handle it, that's why they get paid the big bucks on my biz. Last week was on hold for 25 minutes before hanging up. Unreal.

If I needed to be doing anything else than just checking up on this case I would have hung up and had the FMO handle it...I had the headset on and was processing other paperwork while on hold...When the Phone Rep came on I asked her to hold on a second I forgot why I called :) took me about 5 seconds to remember why and I was off the phone in 3 minutes, I expect the case to flow through quickly now (might be expecting too much) we will see.

MoO has had me on hold with policyowner services from 20-30 minutes this month. I called Humana earlier today and their # was busy.

I haven't called UHC PHD in the last 2-3 weeks(thank goodness according to this thread). What I hate is they ask the same questions every time....agent #, email address...phone number in case we get disconnected...my height and weight...my social security number...my birth date...you get the drift:(

They've had one med-supp application since the 10th, that's still pending for a January 1st, 2011 effective date. They must be swamped.

I use a speaker phone and do other things while waiting...some companies put me to sleep with the boring music while on hold.

Good point yes ask the agent number but you have the other info on file because you can hear they are not writing or typing anything down and lets be honest if you after waiting an hour gave them all this info then got connected before discussing the problem would they really call back?

It's a scripted call with them every time. When it's finished it's...."is there anything else I can help you with?" No thanks.

To answer your question....this time of year, I doubt seriously that they would call back.
