Hi there everyone. I'm new to this forum. So here's my deal, I'm a general insurance agency mainly specialized in the NON standard market and been up and running since late 2012. I'm located in the south central Los Angeles area and pretty much about 80% of my customers are latinos with no driver license or people that DO have a drivers license but have HORRIBLE driving record, most of them with DUIs and traffic violations. Also they drive cars that are more than 10 years old and these people only look for LIABILITY only. Theres still that 20% that range from those that get financed cars so they require comp and collision and also a couple of commercial lines, mostly lunch trucks. I have DIRECT appointment with ACCESS INSURANCE, ALLIANCE UNITED, INFINITY (both personal and commercial), CARNEGIE, ROBERT MORENO, and SCJ. My top 3 are ACCESS, ALLIANCE UNITED, and INFINITY. The other companies are rare do to the HIGH prices that non of these people cant afford. So those other 3 I'm selling about 1 per month sometimes 1 every 2 months. My top 3 sellers are pretty much anywhere from 20 to 40 new businesses per month. I been with these companies since I started. I'm looking to expand and acquire more companies to sell but its hard to get appointments with the more recognized companies and I would love to acquire as much business from the lunch trucks since just about a block away from my office, theres a special storage or parking facility where theres hundreds of lunch trucks where they do maintenance, cleaning, and preparation for the next day to go out and work. The thing is only INFINITY and ROBERT MORENO have coverage for lunch trucks BUT sometimes MOST OF THE TIME they cant compete with the prices of other companies. Also the few COMP and COLLISION contracts I have are VERY FEW for the same reason that my top 3 can't compete with the bigger more recognized companies. Knowing pretty much a very detailed layout of my business, what can you guys recommend? My initial thought is to join a cluster but so far its the only option I've found and I want to know if theres other things I can do to expand. Thanks In Advance.
