Perhaps, but I think in most cases it's the lack of discipline to follow the process. It's the same reason many independent agents fail. There is no one riding your butt to make sure you get things done.

Let's be honest, if a person needs someone riding their butt to get things done, this isn't the business for them. Really no self-employment is for them. Especially any that involves generating your own clients and making sells.
 
Wait, so you spent $400 (approx) and sold 3-4 Medicare Supplements and you stopped? That's like $3500 profit over 6 years. (Approx) Why would you have stopped?

It was a few years back and I could be wrong on my numbers. I know I made a little each time but I have contemplated doing it again. It's quite possible that I may have broke even a couple of times.
Time to test it again!
