Where Can I Get an 800 Number

I need to get a 1-800 number. Can you help me with what company has the best value for that? Thanks.

Try your current long distance provider. That's who mine is with. I think it's an extra $1 per month. My rate is either 2.9 or 3.9 cents a minute in 6 second increments. My provider is Pioneer Telephone. I've never had a problem with them.

I looked into Vonage and VOIP with my cable provider, but they can't allow me to keep my 800 number. Since you don't currently have an 800 number, it may be worthwhile looking into that.

You are so correct sman. I use Vonage 800 numbers only because I started them with Vonage. Transferring existing 800 numbers is not generally possible with many services.

I have had 800 numbers over the years with many sources. It depends who you use for local or long distance line services. If I had know about ringcentral when I first set up my numbers I would have looked at them.

I am happy with Vonage for my one man show. I have all the features I need and my voicemails are emailed in text to my iPhone and gmail accounts so I can read my voicemail, most of the time. All kinds of other options and features make it great for me. I do have the business plan, so I have a dedicated fax number also.

I just got my 800 number a week ago from an voip vendor Vitelity.
The cost is that 1.99 dollars per month and 2.4 cents per minute in USA. Since it is an voip service, you need your internet. You can set it up using an ATA box.

I have looked into changing many times, but I just can't seem to save any money. I currently have 3 land lines (1 for the house and two lines for my home office- one of them being a dedicated fax line). As I said, my long distance and 800 number are through Pioneer.

The cost of VOIP for me wouldn't really offer any great savings since I have 3 lines. At least not enough to go through the hassle of having to notify all my non-local clients of the toll-free # change and print new business cards and letterhead. The last time I changed long distance carriers, they had no problem keeping the same 800 number.

You would think in today's technology environment, there would be no problem in transferring an 800 number. Heck, if we can do it with our home numbers, why not with 800 numbers?
