Who Do I Get Appointed with to Sell P & C?

I am the office manager of a financial firm during the day and would like to sell P & C and life on my own time. Who can I get appointed with to sell several companies products?

BJ - You be out of luck on this one. Best thing for you is to find an agency that will take you on as a part-time producer.

P&C is a full time job. I've yet to see someone being really successful at it doing it part time on the side. And by successful I mean building a large book of business (read $3million or more).

Yes you are correct. I should have been more clear. Getting started without giving up his day job until he can get some experience is where I was coming from. Also, this would give him a chance to get a feel for it to decide if this is something he wants to do. Starting without experience and anticipating that P & C companies will be interested in appointing you isn't going to happen. You are correct, to be good at this in the long run requires a full time commitment and full time does not mean 40 hours a week.

Your better off finding a couple of good P an C agents and farm it out.
