What woud you say is the number one reason you chose your broker? I am going to be going independent soon and want to get a feel for what everyone thinks? Is it? Highest commision? Lead support? Training? Location(proximity to you) or for me just the feeling that they are honest good people who are gonna do the right thing.

My business is the senior market, selling med supps, picking up life, ltc and annuities every chance I get.

I appreciate all the info that this forum has given me.

It appears from your number of post that you are new to this forum as well. I have noticed that on this forum there are many recruiters and brokers, or at least I think they can be called brokers. I don't even know what makes one a broker.

I picked the person that I am going to work with, who is on this forum, because he took the time to sit down with me and talk to me. I really appreciated his honesty and that was the number one thing that guided me toward working with Dwayne. He left me his number if you would like to have it.

I know there are other good ones here on the forum too. I would look at what's most important to you and go with that. Working with someone who is trustworthy is a little more important than percentages to me, but I don't want to get ripped off either. It appears that every broker on this forum can offer good contracts but I am not sure how many have your best interest at heart. I have read this site for 2 months now. Being new, I have to take the broker at his word that he is treating me fairly. I would ask for references. How many can you really trust? Maybe all, Maybe none!!

I chose mine for two reasons: transparency and compensation. I know exactly what happens to each and every contract and application I put through them, and I know I get paid well for all of them. And with an upfront release, I know that if they tick me off I can walk - but with the quality of our relationship, I don't think that'll ever happen.

I apprecite your reply. I woud agree that commision is the number one. Followed by your gut. Do you feel they got your back? Do you trust them? Upfront releases shoudnt even be a consideration.
