Correct. Although they did attend with GM and Chrysler, they didn't need it.

If I was to buy a new car, I'd give serious consideration to Lincoln over Lexus.

I heard Ford will be doing away with sedans to focus production on more profitable SUV and Truck within the next couple of years. Don't know what this means for Lincoln but..... We love our newest gen Escapes!
