Workers Comp Class Code?

I'd use 8044
It appears to be SIC code 5712 (not listed in osha for some reason???), but you'll have to decide for yourself if this is a good fit.

Of course, you didn't mention what type of counter top, which could have a bearing on this. Also, retail or commercial makes a difference (maybe, you start splitting hairs at some point... not all codes are clear).

Georgia class their codes the same as ours djs or do have their own rates/codes?

Marble/Granite might be different than Laminate over particle board countertop mfg.

In CA there is a troublesome granite/stone code most carriers run from like the plague - so be cautious - likely applies in your state as well. The guy I worked with on this a while ago - started at our illustrious State Fund and they decided he needed that code on his policy - tooled him for a long long time.

Choose the codes wisely on startups - could save your employer a boatload of $$$ and headache with the bureaus ...
